What is the Comb Binding? The Comb Binding uses a plastic comb as a spine, which is used in many technical manuals and other similar books. The comb-binding does not look as "slick" as the perfect bind, but allows the book to be laid open flat. 
The standard binding is like those found in typical softcover books, commonly known as the "perfect bind".
